Writing this obituary is the most heart
wrenching episode in our lives.
In the dog world we
all search for the ideal dog, little did we know that the mating between
Liz & Cal would produce such a dog.
My wonderful Gina,
my sole mate,
In all my life I
have never had such a bonding relationship with a dog, as I did with
Gina, albeit was a short lived one.
In Gina, I had total
confidence, she was always at my side wanting to learn and do things for
me from the day she left her mum, Working Gina was a pleasure, so much
energy and willingness to please from a Young dog, In October 2007 we
introduced her to “picking up” on a small shoot local to us were we have
been picking up for several seasons, I knew that it wouldn’t be a
problem, and she did not disappoint, she took to it like a duck to
water.
In mid December she
was looking unwell, so we took her to the vet’s, after a through
examination and tests, the vet gave us some grave news that the
diagnoses was Lymphoma , so severe that she would only live approx
6months, sadly we lost her on the 21st
All I know is that
we both loved Gina very much and she is very much missed here at the
Hurst house.
“Lost so young , but will never be
forgotten”
